Data Deletion

Your right to erasure — How to delete your personal data from Bailar.

In accordance with GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from the Bailar platform.

🗑️What do we delete?

Upon a deletion request, we permanently erase:

  • Your profile (name, photo, bio, city, level)
  • Your posts, videos and shared media
  • Your messages and conversations
  • Your activity history (likes, comments, follows)
  • Your authentication data (email, hashed password)
  • Your payment information (Stripe token — Stripe deletes data on their end)
  • All data linked to your account in our database

📧How to submit a request?

You can delete your account in two ways:

Method 1 — From the app

Go to Profile → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Method 2 — By email

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion" and your account email. We process requests within 72 hours.

⏱️Processing times

Once your request is confirmed:

  • Account deletion: immediate via app, within 72h by email
  • Main database deletion: within 30 days
  • Backups and logs deletion: within 90 days
  • Some data may be retained if required by law (e.g. tax records)

🔗Facebook or Google login

If you signed in via Facebook or Google, deleting your Bailar account does not automatically revoke OAuth access. To revoke it:

  • Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites → Bailar → Remove
  • Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps → Bailar → Remove access
